President Jane Sanders called the Madison Parish Police Jury to order at 4:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, in the Courthouse Building in Tallulah and noted a quorum was present.
The jury approved a consent agenda that included the Aug. 25 minutes, the August Building Report, the Garbage/Sewage Report and the Outstanding Invoice Report. Jerry Hicks moved to approve the consent agenda; Dave Wilson seconded and the motion carried.
After the consent agenda passed, Secretary/Treasurer Margarett Dew requested permission to pay outstanding invoices based on available funds. Stanley Ogden moved to authorize payment of outstanding invoices with available funds or as funds become available; Dave Wilson seconded and the motion carried.
Each juror reported on concerns in their district, and the Superintendent delivered a report (the Superintendent is not named in the transcript). President Sanders also commented on adjudicated property and the Buckner Addition cleanup.
There were no public comments during the meeting's public comment period. With no further business, Stanley Ogden moved to adjourn; Jerry Hicks seconded and the motion carried. The meeting minutes were signed by Secretary/Treasurer Margarett Dew and President Jane Sanders.
