The council approved an agreement with WSP to monitor groundwater at the city lagoon and took several public-works steps at its April 14 meeting.
Mayor Gehring presented a $2,700 monitoring agreement with WSP; a motion by Alderman Mason, seconded by Alderman Schwanz, to approve the contract passed 6-0. Separately, the City of Harrisville DPW will conduct hydrant flushing the week of May 5 through May 16; the council authorized publishing the hydrant flushing dates for residents.
The DPW requested permission to publish a request for bids for a new truck. Alderman Schwanz moved and Alderman Mason seconded a motion to publish the request for bid proposals for a new DPW truck; that motion carried 6-0.
Treasurer Luenberger presented budget adjustments during the meeting and the council approved Water/Sewer Fund adjustments and a $2,700 allocation tied to the Huron Pines partnership. The minutes show motions carried for the recorded fund changes.
The council did not provide contract details beyond the $2,700 amount for the WSP agreement in the meeting minutes; staff were directed to proceed with the approved procurement steps.
