Madison Parish approves shared operator with Madison Parish Port; port to provide equipment

A roll-call vote recorded yes from Jerry Hicks (District 1), Stanley Ogden (District 2), Dave Wilson (District 3) and Johnny Hughes (District 4); Jane Sanders (District 5) voted no. The motion carried 4-1.
The arrangement commits the Port to purchase and house equipment at the Parish Barn and share employee costs; the minutes do not specify a start date, salary amounts, or the job title for the shared operator.
The jurors proceeded to other business, including an executive-session personnel discussion later in the meeting.
