The council approved payment of bills totaling $83,354.78. Members also approved the June 9 and June 30 meeting minutes. By motion, the council authorized a new secretary position at 15–20 hours per week with a starting wage of $15.00 per hour and directed staff to publish the job posting in the local review.
In new business, the council approved a raffle license application for the Harrisville Train Depot and approved the Harrisville Arts Council’s request to use city streets for a Labor Day parade on Aug. 31, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. The fire department’s request for $600 to buy T-shirts for the rescue team was also approved.
