Harrisville council appoints two Harbor Commission members after recusal; harbor audits and ordinance under review

A separate motion to appoint Ephriam Olson carried with the same tally and Claseman again recorded as recused. Earlier in the meeting, Harbor Commission Liaison Alderman Claseman reported that harbor income comes from boat slip rentals, fuel and ice sales rather than direct city funding, that the commission conducted interviews for open seats on July 12 and that the harbor bathroom was vandalized over the July Fourth holiday. Alderman Vanderheuel asked council staff to clarify recent harbor audits and noted the city attorney is reviewing the '88-1' ordinance following a reported loss shown on recent audits.
Council approved the appointments and asked for clarification on audit findings; the council did not take further action on the ordinance review during the meeting.
