Treasurer Dale Marie Brubaker reported at the Sept. 3 Sherwood Township Board meeting that the township's general-fund balance was $175,860.00. She said a revenue-sharing check for about $31,000 arrived that day and was not yet reflected in the reported balance.
Brubaker said tax collection was proceeding and listed additional collection dates over the next two Saturdays and Sept. 16 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). She also informed the board of a Michigan Townships Association workshop on Sept. 26 in Kalamazoo and invited any interested board members to contact her to attend.
The board voted earlier in the meeting to pay July and August bills; Brubaker did not report any unusual or emergency expenditures during her update.
