St. Martinville council adopts new Code of Ordinances

The St. Martinville City Council voted unanimously July 21 to adopt Ordinance No. 25-09, a new Code of Ordinances for the city. The ordinance, published by CivicPlus LLC and comprising chapters 1 through 46, was presented to the council and approved in a recorded vote with five yeas and no nays.
Councilwoman Carol Frederick moved to adopt the ordinance; Councilwoman Janise Anthony seconded. According to the ordinance text, it becomes effective upon the signature of Mayor Jason Willis.
