Hartland Township approves paving contract, median landscaping, chloride purchase and office workstation upgrades

On landscaping, Hable said Horizon Landscapes bid for the M-59 medians and Station 61 was competitively priced compared with another vendor and noted safety and MDOT permitting considerations for work in the right-of-way; the Board approved the Horizon Landscape agreement not to exceed $41,287.
For winter maintenance, Hable presented the annual cooperative chloride purchase with the Livingston County Road Commission and said Chloride Solutions held its price at $0.23 per gallon; the Board authorized the Public Works Director to facilitate purchase and application up to $95,000.
Township Manager Mike Luce described a cost-saving option to acquire 16 lightly used, high-functionality workstations found online for $6,220 and estimated installation, electrical and IT work to bring total project costs to just under $30,000; the Board approved the purchase and authorized the Manager to make decisions related to the project.
