Warsaw council reviews ODNR park reimbursement, water outages and community events

At its Oct. 15 meeting, the Warsaw Village Council reviewed several ongoing public-works and community items including an ODNR-funded park project, recent water outages tied to pipe work, and plans for upcoming seasonal events.
Grants and park work: Administrator Ed Robinette told the council that paperwork for an ODNR grant is complete. The sign, benches and new walkway associated with the park project cost $28,607.76, and the ODNR grant will reimburse $21,500.00. Council minutes also recorded acceptance of park donations, including an $8,000 donor contribution and a $100 sponsorship from Eaton Locksmithing.
Water, sewer and streets: Robinette reported three localized water outages related to new water-line construction; one of those outages required a boil advisory. Staff also cleared storm-sewer catch basins clogged with debris. The minutes note that Spring Mountain Road paving is expected to be completed in the next couple of weeks. The City of Coshocton’s waterline project that runs through the village is still underway; Coshocton will repair streets after completing its work.
Public safety and operations: Deputy Robert E. Wagner submitted the September activity report listing 4 complaints/calls for service, 1 public assist, 1 county assist, 14 village assists, 4 friendly warnings, and 1 alarm drop; he recorded 9 days worked and 67+ hours for the month.
Community events: The council announced Trick-or-Treat on Oct. 31, 2025, from 5:30–6:30 p.m., and a Movie Night at Riverview Community Park showing Ghostbusters 7–9 p.m. and Night of the Living Dead 9–11 p.m. The council also set the Christmas Parade for Nov. 30, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., with participants lining up at Riverview Community Park.
What happens next: The village will proceed with ODNR reimbursement procedures, finish scheduled paving, and monitor water-line work; Mayor Kent and staff will continue to coordinate repairs and public notices as needed.
