Warsaw announces energy aggregation suppliers and upcoming cybersecurity training

Fiscal Officer Tammy Pope told the council on Aug. 20 that the village filed paperwork with Palmer Energy listing Dynegy Energy as the electric-aggregation supplier at a price of $0.0936 per kilowatt-hour, with the term ending December 2026. Residents were given a phone number to join or drop the electric aggregation (Dynegy Energy: 888-682-2170).
Pope also reported that IGS Energy is listed as the natural-gas aggregation supplier at $0.655 per CCF, with the term ending October 2027; residents may join or drop the natural-gas aggregation program by calling IGS Energy at 877-353-0162.
Pope said she has boxed records for the 2023–2024 audit and BHM Group has picked them up to perform the audit offsite. Mayor Ed Kent and Pope will attend training on Aug. 28 concerning a new law that takes effect in 2026. The council noted that the Ohio Auditor of State released Bulletin 2025-007, which provides guidance for local governments on cybersecurity requirements under House Bill 96.
