Cohasset Affordable Housing Trust backs application for Community One Stop for Growth planning grant

The Cohasset Affordable Housing Trust voted unanimously to support applying for the Community One Stop for Growth Community Planning Grant in coordination with the Affordable Housing Steering Committee.
Trust members discussed two grant opportunities for planning work: the Environment and Climate One Stop (EEA Planning Assistance Program), whose application round is already open and likely closes at the end of next month and thus may be infeasible for the current cycle, and the Community One Stop for Growth program, with applications due in June and suitability for funding an update to the town's Housing Production Plan.
Cindy Matheison moved that the Trust support applying for the Community One Stop for Growth planning grant in conjunction with the Affordable Housing Steering Committee; Paul Grady seconded the motion, and it passed on a 5-0 roll-call vote (Paul Grady, Rob Henry, Gene Pesci, Cindy Matheison, Ted Carr).
The Trust asked staff to coordinate with the Steering Committee on the proposed application. No funding award or contract was approved at the Feb. 11 meeting; the vote records only the Trust's support for pursuing the grant application.
