A. Monroe, representing the nominating committee, presented the committee's slate to the Council on Aging. The nominations were: President ' Sue Tawrel; Vice President ' Sherry Gelinas; Secretary ' Karen Rousseau; Treasurer ' Kathy LaBreck.
The minutes record that all those nominated were elected and that each formally accepted the office. The record notes there had been no earlier nominee for treasurer and that K. LaBreck offered to fill the position if Claire did not wish to continue.
Why it matters: leadership roles shape meeting priorities and committee assignments for the year ahead. The minutes do not record vote tallies, motions, or other procedural details beyond the nominations, the election results and formal acceptance by each officer.
The meeting adjourned at 6:00 p.m.; the next meeting is scheduled for September 9, 2025, at 4:45 p.m.
