The Ad Hoc Senior Housing Committee in Deerfield unanimously approved a contract with the Franklin Regional Council of Governments (FRCOG) during a remote meeting on Jan. 28, 2026, and raised concerns about the timeline for a request for proposals (RFP) and a planned site visit.
Meeting notes state that FRCOG’s contract was approved unanimously and that Alex Galloway, listed as a guest, will have FRCOG’s Christopher Dunne sign the agreement. Committee members said FRCOG initially scheduled a site visit for March 5, while the committee hopes the RFP would be released in the first week of March. To avoid the site-visit/RFP mismatch, the notes say Galloway will try to move the site visit to the third week of March.
Committee member Lili Dwight told the group she had not heard back from Christine Madore about an amended RFP; the minutes record that Galloway will contact Madore and request the amended RFP by the following week. The committee also approved the minutes from its Jan. 21 meeting unanimously.
Why this matters: the contract with FRCOG and the RFP schedule shape the timeline for selecting consultants or developers and for any public engagement around potential senior-housing sites. Members flagged timing as important to ensure the site visit and RFP release give prospective respondents adequate notice.
The meeting was called to order at 5:08 p.m. and adjourned at 5:34 p.m.; the committee’s next meeting is scheduled for Feb. 4, 2026.
