The East Longmeadow Planning Board on Jan. 20 approved release of the subdivision performance bond for Bella Vista Estates, clearing Capri Drive and Amalfi Place from the bond requirement. Planning Director Robert Watchilla told the board most lots in the development are built out and both the Department of Public Works and planning staff agreed the town should return the funds to Bella Vista Holdings Realty Trust.
Board member Peter Punderson moved to release the bond and Robert Tirrell seconded. The motion carried on a 5-0 vote. The minutes record no abstentions or opposition.
The vote resolves the town's outstanding performance-bond responsibility for the named streets; the minutes do not specify the bond amount or additional conditions placed on the developer. The board moved on to a scheduled public hearing on the EPA Brownfields Cleanup Grant application after the vote.
