Hillsdale board approves facility work, design services and accepts Class of 1974 donation

The board approved a bid from Stafford‑Smith, Inc. to replace food-service evaporator and condenser equipment at a cost of $57,766.66. Kathy Petersen moved to approve the award and Dan LaRue supported the motion; the board voted 7-0 to approve the contract.
The board accepted a $1,000 donation from the HHS Class of 1974 to support the district's 150th graduation celebration. The motion, moved by Kathy Petersen and supported by Rebecca Portteus, passed 7-0.
For the Davis Window Project the board approved Wightman Associates' design services proposal for $59,700. Leslie Bennett‑Granata moved the motion, with Rebecca Portteus supporting; a roll-call vote recorded all seven members voting aye.
Separately, the board approved membership in MASB for 2024–2025. Routine financial receipts and payments for June 2024 were also included in the consent agenda presented at the meeting. No public comment was recorded during the meeting.
