Davis County commissioners were briefed June 30 on a routine renewal that allows PEHP, the county's employee health insurer, to share employee claims and utilization data with Cedar Bay Technologies for preparation of utilization reports.
Laura George, who presented the item, said the vendor compiles utilization information that GBS then uses to produce the county's quarterly utilization reports and to support the insurer's year‑end renewal. "They use it for our year end renewal ... it's how it's been done, and so it's just the renewal of that agreement," she said.
Commissioners did not raise substantive questions during the short presentation and staff treated the item as informational; no formal action was taken at the work session. The agreement is a renewal of an existing data‑sharing arrangement with PEHP and is intended to support benefit‑management and premium renewal processes.
