Board of Police Commissioners promotes two officers after executive session

The Board of Police Commissioners voted unanimously April 8, 2026, to promote Sergeant A. Farrior to the rank of lieutenant and Officer Z. Bushwack to the rank of sergeant, both promotions effective April 12, 2026.
Chairman M. Gelinas called the special meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. in the BOE Conference Room. Commissioner J. Dimmock moved, and Commissioner T. Sheridan seconded, to enter executive session at 5:01 p.m. for lieutenant and sergeant interviews; Chief D. Ferland was included in the executive session. The Board returned to open session at 7:59 p.m.
Following the executive session, Commissioner T. Sheridan moved and Commissioner C. Gamble seconded a motion to promote Sergeant A. Farrior to lieutenant, and to keep the remaining officers on an active promotion list for one year from the meeting date. The motion passed unanimously. Commissioner J. Dimmock then moved and Commissioner C. Gamble seconded to promote Officer Z. Bushwack to sergeant with the same one-year active promotion-list provision; that motion also passed unanimously.
The meeting concluded with a motion by Commissioner T. Sheridan, seconded by Commissioner C. Gamble, to adjourn at 8:01 p.m.; the meeting minutes were submitted by the recording secretary (listed in the minutes as Diane E. Disall and Diane E. Driscoll).
