Residents urge pause on Red Bank Road development; board approves utility capacity study

Later in the meeting Water & Sewer Director Keith Malone requested Board approval of an agreement with Barge Design Solutions for a Red Bank Road Utility Capacity Study costing $19,259.46. Malone told the Board the developer agreed to pay the study cost. Vice Mayor Mitch Rader moved to approve the expense and Alderman Joey Ohman seconded; the motion carried.
The minutes record public objections to proceeding without additional safety and access planning, but they also show the Board approved the study and other development-related items. The record does not show the Board adopting a cooling-off period or placing conditions on the developer in this meeting.
