Sevierville agrees to transfer 1.1 acres to Industrial Development Board; alderman seeks curb-cut restriction

On April 20 the Sevierville Board approved Resolution R2026-006 authorizing the mayor to execute a quitclaim deed transferring the city's interest in approximately 1.1 acres (a portion of North Sevierville Center, Tax Map 012, Parcel 179.00) to the Sevierville Industrial Development Board to facilitate sale to a private party.
Dustin Smith presented the resolution and Alderman Devin Koester asked that the deed include a restriction prohibiting a curb cut on State Route 66. The motion to approve the resolution carried; the minutes record that the board approved the transfer and that the deed restriction request was made during the motion. The resolution delegates authority to complete the transfer and to facilitate the property's sale by the IDB.
The board did not record further public comment on the transfer during the meeting; next steps include executing the deed and coordinating the sale through the Industrial Development Board.
