Sevierville board rezones 440 Parkway; zoning amendment advances

In Old Business, Vice Mayor Mitch Rader moved to approve O2026-001 and Alderman Wayne Helton seconded. Those voting yes were Helton, Alderman Joey Ohman and Vice Mayor Rader; Mayor Fox declared the ordinance passed on third and final reading.
The Board also considered O2026-002, an ordinance to amend Chapter 6.7.1 of the Sevierville Zoning Ordinance. Alderman Helton moved to approve and Alderman Ohman seconded; Helton, Ohman and Rader voted yes and Mayor Fox declared that the ordinance passed on second reading.
City officials did not record any public opposition during the O2026-001 hearing. The board’s votes establish the rezoning for 440 Parkway and move the zoning-code amendment forward for further consideration. No implementation timeline or conditions tied to the rezoning were stated in the meeting record.
The Board approved the minutes of its March 16 meeting at the start of the session and adjourned at 6:27 PM.
