Sevierville — The Sevierville Regional Planning Commission on Thursday approved the final site plan for Evergreen Apartments, a proposed 288-unit complex at London Lane and Veterans Boulevard, subject to state transportation approval and a recorded plat.
Development Director Corey Divel told commissioners the project has a signalized intersection at London Lane and a direct secondary entrance on Veterans Boulevard. He said the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) must approve the final draft of the traffic-impact study and must grant approval for the proposed entrance; staff also required a plat consolidating the lots.
Commissioner Daryl Roberts moved to approve the item subject to TDOT approval and the plat being recorded; Commissioner Shane Patterson seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Staff said the new connection is identified in the Corridor Management Agreement plan and that the proposed roadway connection is consistent with that plan. Further technical approvals and recording of the plat are prerequisites to final permitting and construction.
