Sevierville — The Sevierville Regional Planning Commission on Thursday recommended final site-plan approval for a 76,000-square-foot warehouse proposed by Sevier County Electric at 217 E. Main St., contingent on a staff-confirmed corner clearance from Main Street along Creek Avenue.
Development Director Corey Divel said the project is the next phase of the Sevier County Electric project and described the proposed building and site requirements. Staff recommended approval provided the outstanding comment about corner clearance is addressed before final sign-off.
Commissioner Butch Stott moved to recommend approval subject to staff comments; Commissioner Shane Patterson seconded. Mayor Robbie Fox abstained from the vote; Commissioners Wayne Helton, Douglas Messer and Daryl Roberts voted in favor. The motion passed with five votes in favor and one abstention.
The commission’s action was a recommendation on the final site plan; next steps include staff confirmation of the corner clearance detail and any remaining technical approvals before permitting and construction.
