The Denison City Council approved two construction pay applications for wellness-center projects.
The council approved pay application 15 to Johnson Builders for the Carver County wellness center in the amount of $760,378.96 and subsequently approved application 16 to Jensen Builders for the Crawford County Wellness Center project in the amount of $202,958.41. City staff explained both payouts were presented at once because the project lead had been on medical leave and invoices were processed together upon the lead's return.
Councilmembers voted on the motions during the consent portion of the meeting and asked for clarifications about timing; staff explained administrative timing and confirmed the payments had been reviewed by project leads and the airport commission where relevant.
The council did not amend the amounts during the meeting.
