Authority approves grease-trap variance process and Fusion Central variance; Harrisburg University reassessment advances

The Susquehanna Township Authority on March 3 approved a newly created Grease Trap Variance Application intended to require plans and supporting materials upon filing and, separately, approved a grease-trap variance request from Fusion Central, a proposed boba tea shop at 2223 Paxton Church Road.
Engineer Joel Kostelac said the application will require drawings and supporting information; Manager Theresa Eberly said there is not a fee currently but the new application fee will be $650 once implemented. The board approved the application and later approved the Fusion Central variance with a Declaration of Understanding and Acceptance of Conditions.
Craig Lewis of Harrisburg University updated the board on the impervious-area reassessment the university is conducting for the township. Lewis said the project is "approximately 78% complete and is progressing ahead of schedule," with anticipated completion before the October 2026 target. The board approved a Harrisburg University invoice for work completed to date in the amount of $2,852.80.
All motions related to the grease-trap application, the Fusion Central variance and the Harrisburg University invoice carried unanimously.
