The Salem Township Board of Auditors unanimously appointed Matt Rebitch as chair and Kelly Otto as secretary during its reorganization meeting on Jan. 6, 2026, at the Salem Township Municipal Building.
The appointments were made by motion: David Leitza moved to appoint Rebitch as chair, seconded by Nick Cornell; the board voted in favor, with Matt Rebitch, David Leitza and Nick Cornell recorded as voting for the motion. Cornell moved to appoint Kelly Otto as secretary, seconded by Leitza; that motion also passed unanimously. The meeting included standard opening items, the pledge of allegiance and instructions for public comment.
The reorganization opening set the stage for the board’s review of personnel policies and compensation for roadmasters for 2026, which the auditors debated and voted on later in the session. The board scheduled a follow‑up meeting for Jan. 21, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. to approve the minutes of this session and to adopt Resolution No. 01‑2026, which formally confirms the roadmasters’ compensation package.
