The Keep Mansfield Beautiful Committee reviewed its financial statement for FY2026 and confirmed total program balances of $16,157.02 and a mural account balance of $3,000.36, yielding a net total of $19,157.38.
Jeff Ward, chair, and other members discussed using the mural account to fund a memorial bench and plaque for Nancy Wall. Committee members said the bench will be placed on North Common facing the mural wall; DPW will install the required cement pad. The committee agreed that inscription wording must be finalized before staff proceeds with bench ordering and installation, and assigned Martha O'Connell to reach out to Town staff (Neil Rhein) for input on the wording.
Kelly Kemp reported she contacted mural artist Ian Gaudreau about painting a plaque on the mural wall; Gaudreau had not responded and Kemp will follow up. If Gaudreau declines, the committee will consider other plaque options.
Treasurer notes indicated Ana Newell is preparing a job-description list for the treasurer role for committee review. The committee continues to pursue outside grants beyond town-level sources and Jeff Ward said he will contact Neil Rhein to inquire about potential grant programs.
