Sandown Conservation Commission approves amended minutes, reimburses member and moves to nonpublic session

The Sandown Conservation Commission approved several routine actions at its May 14 meeting, including accepting amended minutes from its April 23 meeting, approving a $55.63 reimbursement for maintenance materials, and voting to enter a nonpublic session under RSA 91-A:3 II(d) to discuss property.

During review of the April 23 minutes, members flagged typographical errors and a misplaced name reference; Speaker 2 asked that the phrase "not to exceed $200" (lines 108–109 in the draft) be struck. After discussion Speaker 3 moved to accept the minutes as amended; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote.

On the Fishing Derby maintenance matter, the chair reported Beaver damage to a dam at McPhee and that members had purchased lumber, mesh and zip ties to repair and secure the structure. Speaker 3 moved to reimburse the member who bought materials for $55.63 from the Education Fund; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.

The chair also reported $226 in cash found in the commission’s cash box from prior years. Members agreed to deposit the funds into the general fund and to process a reimbursement form so any reimbursements would have an accounting paper trail.

Near the meeting’s end Speaker 3 moved, and the commission seconded, to enter nonpublic session under RSA 91-A:3 II(d) (property). The chair called for a roll call; the meeting was recessed for nonpublic at about 7:41 p.m.

No further public votes on policy or permitting were recorded in the public session.
