The Cochise County Jail District meeting was called to order Tuesday, June 30 in the supervisors' hearing room on Melody Lane and Bisby. The chair opened the session and reviewed procedural rules, including that agenda items and attachments may be updated after publication and that members and the public may attend via Microsoft Teams.
During roll call Supervisors Crosby (District 1), Gomez (District 2) and Antonori (District 3) were recorded as present and attending in person. The chair said no members of the public had asked to speak during the jail district portion of the meeting and reminded visitors that speaker request forms must be submitted to the clerk of the board before 9:00 a.m. on the day of the meeting.
A board member moved to approve the consent agenda, described on the record as "demands and budget amendments for operating transfer." Another board member seconded. There was no discussion. The chair called for the ayes, multiple voices responded, and the chair announced that the motion carried. The transcript does not provide a named mover, a named seconder, or a roll-call tally by supervisor; the chair stated that all supervisors were present.
With the consent agenda approved, the chair adjourned the Cochise County Jail District meeting and said the special board meeting of the Board of Supervisors would begin next.
