Crosby-Ironton Community Education schedules movie night, bird class, painting night and June vendor fair

"Next Friday is our community movie night and we are showing the movie Goat, which is a new animated movie. It's rated PG," said Abby Getz, the district's community education director, adding that doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the film begins at 6:30. Admission is free and limited concessions will be available.
Getz said the district will also host a spring bird-identification class with the master naturalist on Thursday, April 23, returning after a fall session. "He's coming back to do a spring edition of our bird identification class," she said.
A community painting event, "Brushes at the Bridge," is scheduled for May 7 at the Bridge Tavern on Highway 6; Getz said supplies will be provided and attendees can customize a sign. The hosts described the Bridge Tavern's attached convention space as suitable for the event.
The district plans a community garage sale and vendor fair in the high school's south parking lot (the lot facing Dairy Queen) on Saturday, June 20. Vendors and residents with garage-sale items are invited to participate; registration information will be posted soon.
Getz encouraged residents to check CI Community Ed social channels or the district website for registration links and any fees or sign-up deadlines. "If you want to be a vendor ... we're happy to host you," she said.
