A district staff member said students Belle Smith and Georgie Toughness reported on attending a regional changemaker hub event and described ideas from that session for improving schools. Board representatives Wyatt Holmes and Bailey Katenmaker also provided brief updates on celebrations and activities planned across the district.
Board members began identifying goals and specific objectives related to student achievement for the updated strategic plan, and the announcer said those conversations will continue in upcoming work sessions. The district scheduled a work session for May 11 and its next business meeting for Monday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m.; both are open to the public.
All meetings are livestreamed and recorded for later viewing on the district's YouTube channel, the announcement said. No formal motions, votes, or final decisions on the strategic-plan language were reported in the update; staff indicated the topic will be refined in subsequent meetings.
