Jeff asked whether a feather flag would be permitted and said he does not plan to place a road-facing sign in the near term. He acknowledged he likely could not obtain a written letter from the property owner to accompany the application because the owner is busy; Jeff said he is family to the owner, pays rent and maintains the properties. The board noted that feather flags have been permitted in the past for other businesses and reviewed which special-permit criteria could be waived. The board also offered that Jeff may use and mark up the map from the original permit.
The Planning Board reduced the special-permit application fee for Jeff to $50. No formal vote record naming a mover or seconder for the fee reduction is recorded in the minutes.
