Mount Kisco ARB unanimously approves 28 rooftop solar panels at 126 Manchester Drive

The Village/Town of Mount Kisco Architectural Review Board on Wednesday approved a rooftop solar installation at 126 Manchester Drive, voting unanimously to allow 28 panels, Chairman Daniel Loughney said.

Tara McDevitt of Trinity Solar presented the application (Case ARB26-2), providing renderings and details on material, color, location and dimensions. McDevitt said the panels would be mounted on the roof facing south toward the street but would be difficult to see from the roadway; she noted there is no home directly opposite the property.

Board members questioned how the conduit for the electrical connection would be routed. McDevitt said the electric meter is at the front of the house, so the conduit would either run down the side and across the façade or be routed through the attic depending on the homeowner’s preference on the install date.

Nicholas Bagley moved to approve the proposal; James Vallejos seconded the motion. The motion carried with all ayes from the three members present: Chairman Daniel Loughney, Nicholas Bagley and James Vallejos.

The board did not take up other changes to the project at the meeting. Meeting minutes for Nov. 19, 2025; Dec. 17, 2025; and Jan. 21, 2026 were not approved at this session because there were not enough members from those earlier meetings present to vote; the minutes will be placed on the next agenda. The meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
