Shelby Council accepts bid for street-light poles, approves $19,515 water filter replacement

Separately, on a motion by Honeywell, seconded by Schlueter, the council approved purchase of new filter media from Acco Company for $19,515 to replace the plant’s current media, which the minutes say is 23 years old. Roll call was identical: Hursey—Yes; Honeywell—Yes; Schlueter—Yes; Evans—Absent; Kiesel—Absent; motion carried.
The council also approved routine consent-agenda items, including minutes for Nov. 7, Nov. 21 and Dec. 6, the treasurer’s report and claims, on a unanimous vote of those present. No additional budgetary detail for the lighting or water purchases was provided in the meeting minutes.
