Mayor John P. Ardoin called the Town of Port Barre regular meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. on March 4, 2025, at the town hall but advised that a quorum was not present and the meeting was adjourned, so no official business was conducted.
Ardoin announced that Council member Sammy W. Hardy II and a council member identified in the record only as "Robin" were present. He listed Susie Hebert, Gregory P. Hardy and Ronnie Kimble as absent and said, "there was no quorum present, no business could be conducted, and the meeting was adjourned." (Attestation lines follow in the official minutes.)
The session record includes the mayor's attestation and clerk notation confirming the adjournment. No motions, votes, presentations or public comments were held because the board lacked the required number of members to conduct official business.
The town will need to reschedule any pending agenda items for a future meeting when a quorum is present. The minutes show the meeting convened and ended on March 4, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
