IWWA discusses regulation update, enforcement monitoring and tables officer election

Agency members agreed to pursue an update of the Inland Wetlands Regulations (last revised 2005), with two members volunteering to lead the work and staff to circulate the State’s regulatory text; Enforcement Officer Randy Bernotas reported follow-up is needed to ensure test-well monitoring as a condition of the Aaron Manor permit.
The Agency spent part of its April 6 meeting discussing a plan to review and update the Inland Wetlands Regulations, which were last revised in 2005. Michael Bellesiles and Sally Sanders volunteered to assist with the update; Enforcement Officer Randy Bernotas said he will send members the State’s regulations in Word format to help the revision process.
In the Enforcement Officer’s report Randy Bernotas stated that monitoring of test wells is a condition of the Aaron Manor permit and that he will follow up with Aaron Manor to ensure required monitoring occurs. The Agency tabled the election of officers and recorded no correspondence or late applications. Sally Sanders noted she will not attend the May meeting. The meeting adjourned at 7:36 p.m. on a motion by Sanders, seconded by Bellesiles.
