ARB approves stone veneer to repair fire-damaged façade at 37 Carlton Drive

Johnathan Merheb, P.E., of JMER Engineering, P.C., appeared on behalf of homeowners Vivian and Chris Tai to describe the proposal: removal and replacement of exterior wall framing at the garage and above the first and second floors; installation of a thin stone veneer on the repaired façade; interior framing modifications on the first-floor dining room and bathroom; window revisions on the second floor; and electrical and lighting revisions in the basement, first and second floors. Merheb presented physical samples of the stone described in the meeting minutes as a "Dutch blend."
The board reviewed the material sample and the scope of work. Andy Gonzalez moved to approve the application; Nicholas Bagley seconded the motion. The motion carried with all members recorded as voting in favor.
The decision allows the homeowners to proceed with the described structural and exterior work using the stone sample provided to the board. The minutes do not record any alternative materials offered or additional conditions attached to the approval.
