The Carman‑Ainsworth Board of Education voted unanimously July 22 to accept a low base bid from H & S United Construction LLC, P.O. Box 320052, Flint, MI, in the amount of $350,267.00 for toilet‑room renovations at Carman‑Ainsworth High School and Carman‑Ainsworth Middle School.
The motion to approve the bid was made by Gary Cousins and supported by James Johnson. The board recorded a roll‑call vote: Gary Cousins, Mary Margaret Gleason‑Gidcumb, La Cracha Handy, James Johnson, Lisa Koegel and President Gloria Nealy voted aye; there were no nays; Katina Wilborn was absent. The motion carried unanimously.
Superintendent Ryan recommended the contract approval in the meeting record. No public comments were offered during the special meeting. President Nealy declared the meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
