The Carman‑Ainsworth Board of Education voted unanimously July 22 to employ Christopher Ochodnicky as the district’s middle school principal for the 2025–26 school year, Superintendent Ryan said.
The hiring motion, made by board member Gary Cousins and supported by La Cracha Handy, is conditional on the district’s receipt of Ochodnicky’s Michigan certification and criminal history and FBI reports. The board set his salary at Level 3, Step V for 46 weeks on the administrators’ salary schedule.
Superintendent Ryan formally introduced Ochodnicky and congratulated him on the appointment; he will officially begin on Monday, July 28, 2025. Ochodnicky, whose resume in the meeting record lists prior principal positions at Southwestern Classical Academy (2019–current) and Neithercut Elementary (2018–2019), said, “I am honored to join the Carman‑Ainsworth community.”
The motion carried unanimously. No public comments were offered during the meeting.
