Burlington Township adopts sick-time policy, approves treasurer computer and assessor pay increase

Members approved a three-year plan to increase Assessor Dan Brunner’s pay by 5% each year. The minutes record Brunner’s requested annual salary of $21,000 and the current salary of $17,800; the board approved a 5% increase (listed as $890) each year for the next three years (motion by Supervisor Jeffrey Eyre, second by Barton Boyer; carried).
The board also approved replacing the treasurer’s desktop computer and loading needed software, authorizing Postula Computers to perform the work at a cost not to exceed $900 (motion by Darlene Mack, second by Robert Mack; carried). The treasurer’s written financial report was available for review, and the board approved payment of bills totaling $12,324.20 (motion by Barton Boyer, second by Robert Mack; carried).
Supervisor Eyre reported that headstones at Abscota Cemetery were damaged in a 2024 auto accident. A cost-recovery invoice has been sent twice to the vehicle owner with no reply; Eyre said he will attempt to contact both the insured and the insurance company.
