Burlington Township renews insurance, approves mowing and snow-plow contracts

The Burlington Township Board renewed its insurance policy with Decker Insurance Agency and approved several maintenance contracts at its Nov. 14 regular meeting.
Kevin Decker of Decker Insurance Agency reviewed the township's renewal, noting the premium rose 9.6% (an increase of $1,485). The board voted to renew coverage at a total cost of $20,947.00; that figure includes a three-year Fire Fighter Accident & Health premium of $3,968.00. The renewal motion was made by Clerk Darlene Mack, seconded by Susan Mack, and carried.
The board accepted Lepper Lawn Care's mowing bid of $17,500 for the 2025 season (motion by Supervisor Jeffrey Eyre, 2nd by Barton Boyer) and approved Lepper's $1,500 quote to install weed barrier and landscape rock around the east and south sides of Township Hall (motion by Susan Mack, 2nd by Eyre). The board also approved Brado's Tree Service at $70.00 per plow for the 2024–25 snow season (motion by Eyre, 2nd by Darlene Mack). The meeting record shows all motions carried.
In addition, the board approved payment of bills totaling $98,250.94 (motion by Darlene Mack, 2nd by Susan Mack) and reviewed written reports from the zoning administrator and the fire department. The meeting adjourned at 7:36 p.m.
