Richland Parish School Board recognizes September student and staff, hears financial and food-service reports

The Richland Parish School Board recognized several individuals Sept. 10 during its regular meeting in Rayville. The board named Kendall Abrams, an RES student, as September Student of the Month and recognized Victoria Williams, identified in the minutes as an RES paraprofessional, as September Employee of the Month. The board also acknowledged Judy Smith, a bus operator, for a heroic act recorded in the minutes.
Food Services Supervisor Gracie Hosea presented a report to the board; the meeting record does not include detail on the content of that report. The board received routine administrative materials, listed in the minutes as a personnel chart; the School Lunch monthly financial statement; the Sales Tax revenue statement; and the General Fund monthly financial statement.
Board members were also given information on upcoming district events. The meeting adjourned after unanimous approval of a motion to adjourn.
