Mayor Pamela Soseman called a special meeting of the City of Denison at 5:00 p.m. on Nov. 13, 2024. Councilmember Logan moved, and Councilmember Zupp-Smith seconded, a motion at 5:03 p.m. to enter a closed session under Iowa Code 21.5(1)(i) to evaluate the professional competency of an individual at that individual’s request; the motion carried unanimously.
The meeting entered closed session at 5:03 p.m.; the public record contains no details of the closed deliberations. The council returned to open session at 5:11 p.m. after a motion by Logan, seconded by Zupp-Smith, and the transcript states that no action was taken following the closed session. The meeting adjourned at 5:12 p.m.
