Commission awards annual highway bids to Safety Kleen, VCE, Proshot, Marathon and Sessions Paving

Commissioners approved awarding blast monitoring to VCE, folded PVC pipe liner to Proshot Concrete, emulsified asphalt to Marathon Petroleum Company, and concrete curbs to Sessions Paving. For hotmix, the commission accepted awards to all vendors using the State Haul Formula.
Each recommended award was moved and seconded by commissioners and recorded as approved by unanimous vote, 5-0. The minutes do not include bid dollar amounts, contract lengths, or specific vendor addresses; such procurement details are not specified in the meeting record.
The awards will allow the Highway Department to procure materials and services for maintenance and construction work during the coming year under the accepted vendors and purchasing terms.
