Dennis CPC adopts FY27 budget assumptions and reserve estimates

At its Feb. 12, 2026 meeting, the Dennis Community Preservation Committee adopted its FY27 budget assumptions and a related article for the upcoming CPC hearing.
Committee member Chris Foley outlined the figures the committee used to prepare its proposal: a base CPA levy calculated at 3% of the estimated levy for FY27, producing $1,631,010; an estimated state match of $300,000; and estimated total revenue of $1,931,010. Foley said each of the three statutory categories (historic, open space/recreation and affordable housing) would receive 10% of that total, or $193,101, with the remaining balance allocated to a general "for any purpose" line.
Foley also reported reserve estimates used for planning: Open Space $198,446.59, Historic $195,252.34, Housing $242,046.99. The committee voted to accept the budget and article as presented.
Bill Clark seconded the motion; the motion passed as recorded in the minutes.
