The Williamson County Highway Commission unanimously approved a series of resolutions June 3 to add several subdivision streets to the Williamson County road maintenance system.
Superintendent Eddie Hood and county engineering representative Michael Scott recommended accepting Starnes Creek Boulevard and Murrell Drive in section two of the Starnes Creek Subdivision, roads in Hardeman Springs section three, and sections one through five of McDaniel Estates (all located off McDaniel Road). "I recommend approval," Hood said during the meeting; Scott also recommended acceptance.
Commissioner David Coleman moved to accept the first Starnes Creek items; Commissioner Charles Wilson seconded. For the McDaniel Estates sections, Commissioner Coleman made the primary motions with seconds by Commissioners Wayne Davis and Stan Tyson on various sections. Each motion passed unanimously, 5-0.
The resolutions place those subdivision streets under county maintenance responsibilities, meaning the Williamson County Highway Department will perform upkeep and repairs going forward. The minutes do not list construction or improvement costs, maintenance schedules, or effective dates beyond acceptance into the county system.
The commission did not record objections or abstentions during the votes. No amendments or conditions were noted at the time of acceptance. The meeting record shows the commission will execute a formal resolution following the recommendation for Starnes Creek Boulevard and Murrell Drive.
