Commission on Disabilities elects officers effective July 1; resignation accepted

At its May 11 meeting the Frederick County Commission on Disabilities recorded elections that will take effect July 1, 2026: Robert Gunter as Chair, Mark Florimbio as Vice Chair and Emily Kranking as Recording Secretary. The minutes state the Treasurer position was not filled.
The Commission also accepted the May 4, 2026 resignation of member Dave Drezner and expressed appreciation for his long tenure on the Commission. The minutes do not include vote tallies or record who moved or seconded the elections or acceptance of the resignation.
During the meeting Division Director Carolyn True announced a joint meeting and dinner for boards and commissions hosted by the Division of Aging and Independence on August 5, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Separately, Miranda Ducey of the Office of the County Executive requested Commission participation in a civic engagement event at the Urbana Public Library on June 28, 2026; Archer O27Brien volunteered to attend.
