Novak noted additional fundraising beyond the program grant will be required and that implementation is planned by Memorial Day.
Selectperson Duane Gates moved to approve participation; First Selectman Carol Jones seconded the motion, which passed 2–0. The board did not specify a funding source for the town’s share of banner installation and ongoing sponsorship obligations during the meeting.
