Jessica (outreach staff) told the board the outreach and engagement team was busy in June and reported Q1 (Jan–Mar) results: "our seven community education coordinators attended or hosted 85 events ... they reached or they were at events with a total attendance of over 5,000," and they provided direct assistance to 48 individuals. Staff said partnerships with community organizations — including the Center for Latino Progress and local chambers — helped expand reach and that organizations adapted outreach materials for their audiences.
Jessica said the authority is coordinating with the Connecticut State Department of Education, labor unions and associations that represent different school types to reach non‑certified school employees who become covered Oct. 1 under Public Act 25‑174. Outreach plans include employer‑focused webinars at the end of July and worker‑focused webinars starting in August, new one‑page handouts for employers and workers to explain coverage and eligibility, and a redesigned contact page and self‑help guidance on the authority website to help triage inquiries.
