Benton County supervisors approve routine business; set Farmtastic hearing and OK fireworks permits

At the June 23 session the Benton County Board of Supervisors approved routine consent items: the agenda, minutes from June 16, 2026, and payroll and vendor claims (checks and ACH ranges as recorded). The board set a public hearing for a non-agricultural use request from Farmtastic 3, LLC for Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 9:15 a.m.
The board approved a fireworks permit for Chris Herr for July 11, 2026 for the Watkins Community Athletic Association, and approved a fireworks permit for Jerry Kelchen for July 10, 2026 pending the fire chief’s approval. Representatives from Globe Life Liberty National Insurance gave a brief presentation on supplemental pre-tax employee benefits and provided informational folders; no action was taken on that presentation.
All routine items and permits were approved by Tippett, Seeman and Volz voting aye; motions were generally moved by Ronald J. Tippett and seconded by Bruce Volz unless otherwise noted in the minutes. The meeting was adjourned at 10:11 a.m.
