The Martin Board of Education on Feb. 10, 2025, in a regular meeting at the district Media Center unanimously approved the consent agenda and voted to accept recommended personnel changes for the 2024–25 school year.
President T. Beilby moved to accept the consent agenda, which included approval of the Jan. 17, 2025 special board meeting minutes and payment of board bills; Trustee C. Oxender supported the motion. The board recorded a unanimous vote in favor with all seven members present: T. Beilby, J. Brinkhuis, E. Curry, J. Dykstra, C. Oxender, J. Thompson and V. Tuinstra.
The administration recommended the board accept two resignations: Logan Mallings, varsity volleyball coach, and Alyssa Denooyer, assistant director of Clipper Care and elementary aide 1. The board also approved hiring Cory Taylor as the JV boys baseball coach for the remainder of the 2024–25 school year. President T. Beilby moved to approve the personnel changes; Secretary J. Dykstra supported the motion and the vote was recorded as unanimous.
The approvals were recorded as procedural business to maintain operations and staffing for current activities and athletics. No public comments were recorded on these items during the meeting.
The board adjourned at 6:25 p.m.
